Crime Log Update

On 04-03-2017 at 7:30 AM a vehicle was reported stolen in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue.  The victim reported that the vehicle was unlocked and may have had a set of keys inside.  The vehicle was last seen parked in the driveway on 04-02-2017 at 2:00 AM.  It is described as a black 2015 Subaru Outback.

On 04-03-2017 at 9:14 AM an X-Box video game console, power cords, controller and connection cables were found on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Providence Avenue.  They were seized for safe-keeping as found property and are being held at the Police Department.

On 04-03-2017 at 10:27 AM a Stealing was reported in the 7700 block of Big Bend Blvd.  Investigation revealed that an employee had stolen lottery tickets and added the cost to customer purchases 03-31-2017.  The subject was subsequently taken into custody and charged with stealing.

On 04-06-2017 at 9:00 AM a Fraud was reported in the 100 block of Sylvester.  The victim located three fraudulent purchases on her bank statement, but was unsure whether or not the purchases had been made online.

On 04-06-2017 at 9:51 AM a Stealing was reported in the 500 block of Garden Avenue.  The victim said her wallet had been stolen from her purse between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on 04-05-2017 in the Theatre Building at Webster University.  Several fraudulent transactions had been made on her credit cards.

On 04-07-2017 at 8:31 AM a Stealing was reported in the 400 block of Tuxedo Blvd.  The victim reported that overnight on 03-30-2017 somebody had entered their unlocked vehicle as it was parked in the driveway and stolen a Dell laptop computer.

On 04-08-2017 at 8:49 AM an Attempted Burglary was reported in the 600 block of Lilac Avenue.  The victim reported that they had located pry marks and a broken lock mechanism on their rear sliding glass patio door.  There was nothing found to be disturbed or missing from inside the residence.

On 04-08-2017 at 11:09 AM a Stealing was reported in the 3200 block of Brentwood Blvd.  The victim said that between 5:30 and 6:15 PM on 04-06-2017 somebody had entered her vehicle, stolen credit cards from her purse and used them to make fraudulent purchases on 04-07-2017.  The victim was unsure if her vehicle was locked at the time of occurrence.

During the week of 04-03-2017 through 04-09-2017, the Police Department responded to 481 calls for service, 19 auto accidents, 14 alarms and 45 assists to the Fire Department.
