Crime Log Update

On 01-07-2019 at 10:41 AM a fraud was reported in the 1300 block of Webster Forest Ct. The victim stated sometime in November 2018, he was in the process of selling his time-share investment property located in Arkansas. The victim was contacted by the suspect who claimed to be interested in purchasing the property on behalf of a company. The victim stated the suspect instructed them to wire transfer funds to two separate banks for tax purposes. The victim stated they wire transferred $16,737 to the suspect and has not heard from the suspect in weeks.

On 01-07-2019 at 6:24 PM a shoplifting was reported at a business in the 8600 block of Big Bend Blvd. The manager stated on 01-01-2019 at 11:47 AM a white female with long black hair wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and tan boots entered the store and stole nine cans of Enfamil Infant Formula.

On 01-08-2018 at 4:57 PM a lost/stolen firearm was reported in the 800 block of Marshall Ave. The caller stated they have not seen their firearm in months. The caller in unsure if it has been misplaced or stolen.

On 01-08-2019 at 8:58 PM a larceny was reported at a business in the 8600 block of Watson Rd. The manager stated a black male subject wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, a white male subject wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, a white female subject wearing a black shirt and black pants and three children left the business without paying for $52.00 worth of food they ordered and ate. The suspects were last seen leaving the area in an older dark blue or black Ford Escape.

During the week of 01-07-2018 through 01-13-2019, the Police Department responded to 517 calls for service, 45 auto accidents, 11 alarms and assisted the Fire Department 37 times.
